MONDAY - THURSDAY

Lesson 1 - 09.30 -10.30 GMT Then morning/ first break, half an hour.
Lesson 2 - 11.00-12.00 GMT Then lunch break one hour.
(It's important to have long breaks to refresh the brain for real work, and encourage getting up and moving about.)

Lesson 3 - 14.00 - 14.00 GMT School lessons end 14.00 GMT.

After school on Monday and Tuesday we provide a supervised homework session for the few students who have not completed all the previous week's work. We achieve 95% homework completion over the whole school.

MONDAY SEMINAR Lesson 1 and Lesson 2 on Mondays are a double seminar in Philosophy & Society. This is attended by ALL classes together and taught by the two Heads of School.

THE THREE CLASS LEVELS After that from Lesson 3 on Monday onwards students continue lessons in the three separate classes: First Class, Seniors and Scholars.
Subjects are English, English Literature, Geography, History, Maths, Sciences (Biology/ Chemistry/ Physics), and choice of French or Spanish.

FRENCH OR SPANISH? On Thursdays Lesson 2 and Lesson 3 are for French or Spanish. Beginners - intermediates are taught during school hours. The grouping has no connection to the class the student normally attends because knowledge of a language can be nonexistent for an otherwise advanced student, or well on the way for a lower level student.
Advanced French or Spanish is provided by small tutorials.

CLUBS Occasional clubs are held after 14.00 GMT such as Art & Webdesign. Clubs are not aimed to cover exam level work; they are meetngs around a common interest. We are happy to set up a Club in a new topic area on request.
