| FEESFirst College students live in the UK, in Europe or Asia. JANUARY 2006 - JANUARY 2010 Fees AVERAGE approx £38 per week (this is the full year's fee divided over 12 months/ 52 weeks. What you actually pay is £198 a month for 10 months Sept-June (nothing to pay July, Aug.). There are full year payment discounts and a second child discount too - see below. Payable by the first working day of the month Sept., - June inclusive. PLEASE NOTE: This fee is an INSTALMENT on the full year's fee. You are not paying for services in that particular month. Termly fee £660. Payable by the first working day of the month Sept., Jan., and April. One year discount 10% £1,880. If you like you can start by paying one month then once you've seen how it all works, pay the balance of one year, minus the one month. You can also switch to the one year payment at any payment point, as it applies to the next calendar year, not the rest of this year. Second child discount almost 25%!!! First child £198 month/ £660 term. Second child £150, £500 term. You cannot combine the Second Child discount and the Full Year discount. All fees are payable by the first working day of the month. Termly by the first working day of September, January and April. There is a £100 deposit to book a place. This is refunded when the student leaves, subject to fees being fully paid. If paying monthly this would normally mean you only pay £98 balance in your last month. NOTICE TO LEAVE must arrive with us in writing by the first working day of the month, for the notice period to apply to that month. Please note - - an older student of 16 often continues with us after the end of the summer term because we continue to support students until they are 18. So you DO need to give notice by June 1st. if you want to leave us. - the only exception to the required notice period of one month given by the first working day of the month, is a student who takes IGCSE exams, when a leaving date is agreed in writing previous to the start of exams. Just to make this completely clear, if you wish to withdraw from First College any balance of payment you have made to us will be refunded, including your booking deposit. (This would normally apply to a term or year payment.) Your refund is calculated from the first day of the month AFTER the date you give notice, which must arrive with us in writing by the first working day of the month. UNPAID FEES ARE SUBJECT TO FORMAL DEBT COLLECTION & COURT PROCEDURES. ALL SUCH COSTS ARE ADDED TO THE DEBT. ALL DEBT OR DISPUTES ARE SUBJECT TO UK LAW. We reserve the right to ask for a Student to be withdrawn immediately, or to close them out of the school, at our discretion, for the benefit of others. In this case any refund will be at our discretion. We reserve the right occasionally where necessary to alter our terms of trade without notice. We train a strongly collegiate style of studying so that the student learns to take responsibility for their own work and deadlines. It means the transfer to later qualifications, University, or (self) employment is much easier as a result. First College UK is very much a family business. We created it to educate our own son, who is now a trainee online teacher in the school! (under strict supervision) CRB checks (Standard Level) on all teachers; DP registration (Notification reference: jvl530); Please do ask for any of this to be explained. |
