![]() Costs work out to about £45 a week for 10 - 12 hours tuition; . Payments can be made by BANK TRANSFER or PAYPAL.Details are supplied in a FEES guide document sent out by email attachment when you first make an enquiry with us. Payments must add any fees to banks or financial institutions so that we receive the required fee in full. DEPOSIT £100: RESERVATIONS, NOTICE PERIODYour Deposit reserves your place. Students can join us any Tuesday as long as we have a free place. So your Deposit can either book a place very soon in the coming month, if we have a free place; or it can be an advance booking. If you want to join very soon but we have no free place available, your Deposit books you on to the waiting list. We will let you know as soon as we have a place for you, and keep you informed on the waiting list while you are on it. Very occasionally a family decides to withdraw during their first month. In this case we do not require a month's notice. They can leave without paying anything except their initial payment. MONTHLY INSTALMENTS £198You can pay your fees each month in 10 equal instalments, September to June Instalments are due the first WORKING DAY of the month. That means the first weekday which is also not a public holiday UK. Note that the fees are due at the start of September although we do not start classes until about the 12th of the month. With the UK August public holiday fees need to be activated before the end of August. On the Exam Programme after its first term fees go up to £228 per month. The termly, yearly, and discount fees are worked out on that basis from then on. If you do not pay your fees you will receive a reminder invoice. WARNING. We do not allow fees to go late/ unpaid for more than one month. The student will be instantly barred by the school software. If you are coping with financial strain which makes it seriously difficult to pay, please talk to us about a payment plan so your child's education is not interrupted. TERMLY INSTALMENTS £660..A one term payment is £660. This is due the first working day of September, January, and April. Note the start date for classes in September comes AFTER the fees are due to be paid - we are here and working through all "holiday" periods! Our Exam Progam fees instalments are £760.00 a term until the first exam session has been completed. After that your fees reduce to the standard rate. ONE YEAR DISCOUNT 5%You can save 5% on the total fees for a year. Instead of £1,980 you pay £1,880 - saving £100. You can even start out paying for one month, then pay the balance of the one year discount payment = £1,682. However if you switch to a one year payment at any other time there is no adjustment on the full amount to be paid. The one year payment is for a full calendar year; so if paid after September it runs into the next school year. For example if you join us in March your one year payment covers you until the following February inclusive. If you join us after September you cannot pay the balance of the year until July after you join, and still get the discount. The one year fee covers a full year. You cannot use the one year discount on the Exam Programme. You cannot use the one year discount on a second child, because the second child gets another big discount. SECOND CHILD DISCOUNT 25%You can save 25% on the total fees for a second child. Instead of £198 a month you pay only £150! - saving £48 a month, or £480 over the year. Your normal monthly payment for two children is £348. You may find it challenging to cover the first month for two children, as this means two Deposits of £100. Total payment £548. A solution is for the children to each have their own personal start month, one after the other. This means paying the two £100 Deposits but only one instalment of £198 in the first month = £398. From then on you pay £348. You can only use one discount per child. So you cannot use the one year discount on a second child, because the second child already gets another big discount. But you CAN use BOTH the one year discount on the first child, and the second child discount. Total payment for one year payment £1,880 (first child) and £1,500 (second child). In this case the second child can be paid monthly or termly. EXAM PROGRAMMEStudents on the Exam Programme take exams in two sessions, about six months apart. At the first session they take only one or two exams, to get practice in the whole experience. At the second session they take the rest of their subjects which is normally three or more exams. The Exam Centre is local to the family, and their charges are independent to ours. Exams cost between £50 and £150 each depending where you live. For the first term of the Exam Programme fees stay the same as usual. After that fees go up to £228 a monthly instalments; £760 term instalment; £2,280 for the year. DISCOUNTED to £2,166 for a one year payment. Increased fees reflect the increased work involved in exam support teaching. See more information on exams on the SCHOLARS class page. ![]() NOTICE TO LEAVE must arrive with us in writing by the first working day of the month, for the notice period to apply to that month. Please note - an older student of 16 often continues with us after the end of the summer term because we do continue to support students until they are 18. So you DO need to give notice by June 1st. if you want to leave us, whatever age your student is. There are two exceptions to the required notice period of one month given by the first working day of the month. One exception is if youdo not continue into a second month. In this case notice in writing must be received by the 30th day after your first day of attending classes. Please make sure you have a confirmatiohn email from us that we received your notice. In this cawse you do nhot pay any more after your initial £298. The other exception is a student who takes IGCSE exams, when it is assumed they will leave after taking their last exam. REFUNDS When you leave First College any remaining balance of payment you have made to us will be refunded, including your booking deposit. A refund would normally apply to a term instalment, or one year payment, but occasionally applies if a month's instalment were made in advance. Your refund is calculated from the first day of the month AFTER the date you give notice, which must arrive with us in writing by the first working day of the month. If you have a paid balance from a one year DISCOUNT payment left, we deduct the number of monthly instalments you would have paid if you had paid monthly. UNPAID FEES ARE SUBJECT TO FORMAL DEBT COLLECTION & COURT PROCEDURES. ALL SUCH COSTS ARE ADDED TO THE DEBT. ALL DEBT OR DISPUTES ARE SUBJECT TO UK LAW. We reserve the right to ask for a Student to be withdrawn immediately, or to close them out of the school, at our discretion, for the benefit of others.
