This is only an approximate guide below to our term dates. We follow the normal British system of three terms a year.

Registered families can see exact details on their "GO" page where current notices are displayed with links to this kind of information..

New enquirers concerned about any arrangements already booked for the family, please request current dates by email.

Our policy is to run short hardworking terms with efficient classes getting 100% homework done. We encourage as much free time as possible for family life. Our results show our strategy is far more effective than long hours, and long dragging terms. We want young people to enjoy lots of free time, family life and fun - because we do expect them to WORK when it is a workday, or work week.

WINTER TERM: January, February, March.
Half Term starts Feb 17th.
SPRING HOLIDAY: 3 weeks. Late March – mid April.
including the UK Bank Holiday weekend.
SUMMER TERM: Mid April, May, June.
Half Term is in May.
SUMMER HOLIDAY: July, August, first week of September.
AUTUMN TERM: September, October, November, early December.
Half term is normally end of October.
WINTER HOLIDAY: 3 weeks . Two in December, plus one week January.

First College UK is a family business. It was created to educate our son, who gained his exams, then went on to become a teacher in the school. As well as the family there are four other teachers making a team of seven in all. See ABOUT OUR TEACHERS.
